Alpha Station is an engaging and competitive multiplayer VR training game developed by Chaac Technologies for naval warfare officers. This interactive experience challenges students to maneuver their ships into position ahead of their peers, honing their ship handling skills and RelVel techniques.
By competing against other live players, trainees enhance their proficiency in ship handling and decision-making in a dynamic and immersive environment.
Alpha Station is a multiplayer VR game that pits students against each other in a randomized series of formation maneuvers. Players perform the duties of both the Relative Velocity Officer (RelVelO) and Officer of the Watch (OOW), working to position their ships accurately while avoiding penalties.
This competitive format develops individual ship handling skills, allowing trainees to practice RelVel fundamentals and proper communication procedures.
Alpha Station provides a dynamic and immersive training environment where trainees can:
Compete with Peers: Engage in competitive gameplay against up to three other live players/ships, enhancing teamwork and strategic thinking.
Effective Communication: Practice proper communication procedures with other players, coordinating maneuvers and maintaining the safety of the ship and formation.
Role Performance: Perform the duties of both RelVelO and OOW, gaining practical experience in these critical roles.
Randomized Maneuvers: Each game consists of five randomly selected maneuvers with a randomized guide course, offering a variety of challenges and scenarios.
Position Accuracy: Select “In Station” when the ship is in the correct position. Avoid penalties for failing to remain in station or violating safety protocols.
Ranking and Scoring: At the end of each game, players receive a ranking based on their average scores, promoting continuous improvement and skill development.
